Arte Povera

Arte povera project was born when I was creating a serie of paintings with oil on canvas. I was using stripes of paper tape to preserve white areas on paintings. Once, finished each piece of art, those stripes were supposed to get in the garbage.

Instead of that, I combined them, I played with different installations on paper. Those installations lead to the artscarf that you are actually seeing.

Arte povera is an art movement, which means ‘poor art’. Here the word poor, refers to the movement’s signature exploration of a wide range of materials beyond the traditional ones of oil paint on canvas, bronze or carved marble.
